Experience Points

I've recently felt that I've done just about everything there is to do in Mabinogi (not even close, actually), so I've begun to seek out other ways to play the game.
For instance, I didn't realize that pets gain significantly more EXP per kill if you play the pet itself instead of summoning it to fight alongside you. Since my Labrador Retriever, Hyppie, was fairly wimpy I jumped at the opportunity to whip him quickly into fighting shape. Fighting as a dog is a little disorienting, since Hyppie is twice as fast as Warrensworth, and can actually run away from many mobs while Defense is loaded (I'm not sure why I died so much initially even with that advantage). A vampiric brown fox joined me and we raided Math Dungeon without much trouble. When it was all said and done, Hyppie reached level 18 with about 2 days' work.

When Iria was first released for Mabinogi, Nexon gave away free Giant and Elf character cards to anyone who travelled to their respective villages and pledged (a fleeting) allegiance to one side in their ongoing war. I obtained my Elf and Giant cards and created Lyrwen the Elf to be a mule for Warrensworth's ore business. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I needed the Extra Storage service to transfer items between their bank accounts, so Lyrwen got to complete the tutorial quests and sat in a closet for 5 or 6 weeks. Recently, in my quest for new experiences in Mabinogi, I logged in as Lyrwen to wander Erinn with a bow and arrow instead of sword and shield. My BFF's Kazukikun and Vampireai joined me for this sweet pic:

Concluding the mini-series soap opera of Warren's MMO Adventures, I got married to Mistresraven (aka Vampireai) at the Church of Lymilark in Emain Macha last week. Her family, the Famous Guild, showed up in droves for the event, while I could only muster 2 guests of my own: Artifex guild leader Ashrayne and my longtime friend Piper1. In a lapse of thinking I didn't take any pictures of the actual ceremony (I think I was caught up in the moment), but I did round up a handful of attendees for a group picture afterwards:
Smile, damnit!

This is definitely a new experience for me in Mabinogi:
